Justin is consistently ranked as one of Asia’s top performing Instagram creators by metrics. Known there as @hurtingbombz, Justin remains fully committed to generating engaging content to share with his followers, with a cinematic and poignant twist.

Justin’s photographs have been featured by Instagram, VSCO, 500px and more. His photography has been published in Assouline’s “Hong Kong” and been featured by the BBC and The Guardian. His studio space The Kandid (2013-2023) was featured in Emirates’ in-flight magazine “Open Skies” and Home Journal.

Justin is also a prolific writer, with published works on photography, lifestyle, travel and more. His vocal qualities have also seen him sought out for live MC and VO work.

Of Malaysian heritage, Justin has lived in Great Britain, Hong Kong and currently has a base in Thailand. Justin was educated at GSIS (HK), Charterhouse (UK) and holds a degree in law from the London School of Economics. Away from photography he is self-reliant as a retail/day trader with a particular focus on US tech. Justin plays the guitar and has a reasonable grasp of fine horology.

A photographer who finally found contentment in his content.

“Justin Lim’s style of photography is very fine-art-meets-documentary. We love his striking portraits and his ability to capture emotion within the shot.”
